Since 2020, St. George’s has undergone a significant capital planning process to get a full picture of the current condition of our buildings; determine necessary repairs; and prioritize and schedule repairs and upgrades from both a work and budget perspective.
This process has helped us build on St. George’s long history of careful stewardship and maintenance of our facilities, and to align with Diocesan guidelines for capital work. It has also created a strong foundation for future renovations and improvements that support and enhance St. George’s worship, ministry and mission in our community.
Over time, we’ve made significant investments to our property while also planning for our most critical project: the replacement of our 135-year-old roof.
The roof project is extremely comprehensive, and includes reinforcing the roof framing, replacing all of the slate roof tiles and underlayment, updating the eave copper flashing, repairing the wooden gables, fascia, soffits, and trims, and repairing the bell tower.
But we need your generous support to make this project possible. We are so close to meeting our goal, and with your gift today, we can complete this urgent project in 2026.
