Last Sunday after Epiphany – Year A

Exodus 24:12-18;  Psalm 2;  2 Peter 1:16-21;  Matthew 17:1-9

Rev. Dr. Tim Connor

Through epiphany we have been on a journey of intensification that traces how God’s light shines out into the world through Jesus, calling all into closer communion with him. Today, as the journey arrives at the summit of Mt. Tabor,  we see a radiant vision of Jesus bathed in light. The experience reminds us that mountain top experiences are important, and we should structure ours lives to bask in His presence through daily prayer and study of His word. We live out our daily lives in the valleys where we are called to reflect God’s glory to each other and to the world around us wherever we go.
