Easter II – Year B(2018)

Acts 4:32-25; Psalm 133; 1 John 1:1-2:2; John 20:19-31

Rev. Dr. Tim Connor

As we continue to celebrate the great 50 day feast of Easter, our focus shifts from the empty tomb to the risen Christ. It is a startling and unsettling experience for the disciples who encounter him, the living result of a mighty act of God. Offering peace, he reinforces a messages of God’s covenant, of light, forgiveness, reconciliation and the gift of the Holy Spirit among them. He calls us to love as we are loved, to forgive as we have been forgiven, and to receive the peace of the Holy Spirit.
